Registration to our 2026 summer camp is now open!
We will be holding full-day summer camp during all 10 weeks of summer break (Jun 1 - Aug 7, 2026), 8am-5pm. We offer a small-scale camp (15 students max) focusing on skill development in a near-private setting (3+ instructors). Our chess team won 2nd place in the northern NM Chess League!
The 2025-2026 season of the Northern Schools Chess League featured 20+ elementary school teams, as well as many middle and high school teams from northern New Mexico. If you're interested in chess, join our summer and after school camps at Atomic Learners!
International MATH KANGAROO competition comes to Los Alamos!
Atomic Learners Academy will be an official center for the Math Kangaroo USA test on March 19, 2026. As a reminder, our regular Wed activity in the after school day camp is centered around preparation for the test. Check our blog post for more information on this class! After School Day Camp
Growth meets fun
Our camp offers an energizing mix of physical movement and creative exploration, blending a variety of exciting experiences such as judo, hip-hop, neurogymnastics, chess play sessions, math-themed games, and science-based crafts.
Every activity is guided by experienced facilitators including a dance instructor with 15 years of experience in different dance styles, a judo black belt instructor with experience teaching kids classes, a M.Sc. in clinical psychology with an early childhood education certificate from UNM, and a Ph.D. in theoretical physics, who bring energy and care to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and inspiring environment.

2026 Summer Camp
Schedule: 9:00 a.m. – 4 p.m., 5 days/week
Extra hours: 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m., 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Duration: Jun 1 – Aug 7, 2026
Grades: K—6
Basic information: Weekly enrollment available (week of Jun 1, week of Jun 8, ..., week of Aug 3).
Please inquire using the form below with your preferred dates and hours. 15 spots total, 9 spots left for most weeks.
Siblings receive 10% discount.
Current members receive 5% discount.
4 weeks or more receive 5% discount.
7 weeks or more receive 10% discount.
Discounts combine!
Early-bird enrollment until Mar 31 or all spots filled, prices go up after this date (+5% until Apr 30, +10% until May 31, +15% afterwards).
Regular Day Camp
Schedule: 3:00 p.m. – 5:45 p.m., 5 days/week
Duration: Full semester or school year
Grades: K—6
Add-ons & options:

Shortened camp (e.g., 3:05 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.) or enrolling siblings: please reach out to discuss available options and reduced rates.
Membership Includes: A judo gi and up to two student-assembled science kits and/or art pieces to take home each month.
Parent-Teacher Conference Camp, Mar 19-20
Schedule: 9:00 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Extra hours: 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m., 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Half-Day Options: 9:00 a.m. –12:30 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. – 4 p.m.
